I went to this crazy Christian high school where they SPANKED us for
doing things that they thought were "bad"... yes, in a school, behind a
curtain, on the principal's LAP!
Spanking children is abuse. It was abuse when they did it
to us in this Christian high school. No teacher or adult should ever
lay a hand on a child! Ever! I'm going to bring it up for discussion
because it was wrong.

I feel perturbed by the fact it was over the principals lap that is mighty personal and creepy.
I recall my step-dad talking about being paddled in school when he was a kid. I would never be okay with that at my kids' school.
My husband was quite the rebel in high school & skipped alot. His principal required him to be paddled once for every day he'd missed in order to graduate. He had no choice but to do it.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I, too, am horribly creeped out by the sexual aspects as well as the violence. I'm so sorry you endured that, and grateful that you are speaking out.

I agree. No child should be spanked. I think it is unacceptable and appreciate you bringing attention to it, because it does not receive the attention it deserves.
