Wow, it's so nice to be out at the Ventura Harbor again and eating our favorite seafood at Andria's and John was just happily walking along pushing me on my wheelchair. I had the dog leash so that Sandie could go with us. All the people love her and want to pet her. She just loves the attention!
We came across a Pet Portrait artist and we are having her do some work with Sandie for a Christmas gift from John to me
and then of my mom's dogs for Christmas gifts for her! This is some of her work, http://www.mary-jomurphy.com/mary-jos-art.html
"Mary-Jo Murphy’s work is simply fun and catchy, bringing smiles and laughter to animal and art admirers. Her subjects are “man’s best friends” including; dogs, cats and other animals rendered in a range of colors, full of energy and love. Her work expresses the bond between beloved pets and humans. Looking into the eyes of our pets we feel their compassion and joy. Reminiscent of pop art with an iconic appeal, Murphy’s work is composed with fun, solid-color backgrounds and close-ups of the beloved animal’s smiling face. Think Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, but with funky animals as the star of the show! This exhibit joyfully presents Murphy’s bold work in acrylics, watercolors, and digital ink-resist."

Ventura Harbor Cove Beach |
Year-round we enjoy going to the Ventura Harbor Cove Beach. We can watch the ships and boats go in and out of the harbor.
I can say that we will definitely be back here in September. It's very close to the Pumpkin Patch and that's on our yearly calendar!
