Giving up the JUNK FOOD for HEALTHY FOOD!

Yep, you heard it here! John and I are on a mission now to eat healthy and give up the JUNK FOOD for the HEALTHY FOOD!

No more junk food!

And instead we are switching most things to this:


So we've traded in some things lately for some really good junk food options:

POTATO CHIPS are out and POP CHIPS are in!
SODA is out and FLAVORED and VITAMIN waters are in!
ICECREAM is out and SKINNY COW is in!
CANDY is out and SKINNY COW CANDY is in!

We've joined CLUB SKINNY and are going to get rid of some pounds we put on from junk food!

We want to know just who is with us on this endeavor?  

So no more chocolate bars for John for clipping coupons  but instead he gets Skinny Cow Candy!  It's worth it to be healthy and wise!

I joined club skinny, and going to one of their events Aug. 28th!! Now I just have to stop with the junk food! LOL its just so convenient sometimes!

Isn't Club Skinny the best? Well gal, the one thing that we're doing is getting the book... The Belly Fat Diet. It's on the way to us now. That's where we both need to lose it (well John does) and me... kinda all over.

We were doing fine until about Christmas 2010 and that's when we decided to hibernate for the winter. That meant a lot of TV and a lot of junk food. UGH! We wish we had never done that and gained all that weight.

Cupcakes and cake did me in to begin with! Then it was onto the soda and on with the chips and dip and then at my husband's retirement the day day of May, 2011... it was the Chex Mix, more cake, and ice cream and candy!

Then it just never stopped with the Chex Mix and candy. Thus the progression of gaining 25 lbs since Christmas.

Well John and I are doing really well on this! We've spent more on fruits and vegetables this weekend and it's paying off. We're less hungry and really not snacking too much. Just having healthy meals and some fruit in the afternoon or yogurt and 90 calorie brownies from Fiber One! Had grapes yesterday!

oh Sadie you had to ask, lol. We went back to our junk food ways starting at Christmas and didn't give them up until this weekend again. So all that weight that we lost we mostly put back on but we are walking and eating right again! Yay!

This is the best thing you will ever do for yourself. My husband and i took this pledge 3 years ago when doc told him he was one strip of bacon away from a heart attack. We lost weight, we enjoyed cooking with real foods and now we literally can only stomach a small amount of fat in a day or it will give us an upset stomach. Oh, and did I mention all of our blood lab levels normalized too?
