Happy Birthday in Heaven to your Mom.

For Birthdays, I just like to relax, and hang out with my best friend. We drive around or watch movies. My mom usually makes me a cake.

This year was the best. I picked him up thinking I was taking him to work. He said he had some things to do before he went in. That was normal. We stopped at his job, and he went in and got my gifts. Then we went to his grandma's, and he had a surprise party waiting for me. He had taken the day off just to surprise me. He even made me a cake. It was the best birthday! Later that night, we just went driving around and spending time together. :)

For mine I just have some pizza and maybe some cake just a usual day for me, but for my daughter we have a party and give her a little cake of her own. :) I also let her have extra juice and some special things like chocolate cookies she hardly gets. C:

I like to celebrate with a vanilla cake and buttercream icing. I love when the family all gets together. And I like going out to eat for my birthday.

My husband's family never made a big deal of birthdays. But my family always had parties with special deserts and presents. I've tried to make my kids' birthdays special by choosing a theme that they like and getting presents, decorations, and such to match. This year I spent 2 days working on baking a 6-layer rainbow cake for my daughter-- going to have to work really hard to top that next year. jr_panda2778@yahoo.com

We all have birthday cakes and I usually decorate and have a small family party for my husband. For the kids we let them pick a place they would like to go like the movies or skating or whatever and take them out, sometimes I throw them a big party but not every year.

Pizza and cake usually. Maybe a bowling party for the younger ones. Hubby and I have a cake and that's it.

I love to do cookouts for birthdays. Most of my families birthdays are in the summer so we have huge cookouts/parties.

MY kids are still young enough, the love having a party and having all the family come over and celebrate with us. I make the cakes, my grandma says they taste better than store bought, we decorate the house and play games. Makes lots of fun memories that I hope they treasure for a long time

This year my birthday falls on thanksgiving so noone should forget. I like to bake my own form of a cake in ziti and put candles in it and then finish off with vanilla pudding pie as desert and thats my every year tradition.

I make a large cupcake for anyone in the family that has a birthday and we have a large cupcake glass covered display especially for cupcakes that it is placed in. :) For the kids, I usually blow up some balloons also.

At my house, we usually have whatever the birthday kid wants for dinner. We have cake and ice cream and open presents.

For the kids we have a party with the whole family and some friends and usually do an outing. For my husband and I we usually just pick a place for the family to go out to eat and make a cake to share at home.

We usually have red velvet cake on my birthday and the past few years my mom will get me lobster and she and my dad will have steak for supper.

And I wanted to say the red velvet latte sounds amazing!

I love the idea of commemorating her birthday with a celebration for her.
Great recipe too, red velvet is my favorite.
For the little ones in the family, we go all out and have parties at venues, with all the trimmings.
For the adults, it's usually a dinner out and dessert, plus gifts.
For me, nothing. I've disliked my birthday since I was a young child, so we skip it.

We are always up at the crack of dawn to wish a happy birthday. This came from my mom waking us up for school and as we got older, she would still call us VERY early! We always get to pick a meal, be it at a restaurant or a home cooked one on our special day and we get to pick out our favorite cake. Now that we are parents, we are still making our own traditions with our son...who will be 3 on Monday! I am sure though that I will wake him up to sing happy birthday!

I liked to spend a lot of time with my family and eat!

For birthdays young, old and everything in between, I must bring balloons. Flowers are a must for birthday parties. Again, all ages apply.

I celebrated my children's birthday by having them select the kind of birthday cake they wanted and what meal the family would have on their birthday. I usually call my adult children and their spouses on their birthday and sing "Happy Birthday" to them. Calling and singing "Happy Birthday" is a tradition my mother started after she became a senior citizen and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to keep the tradition going.
